How Can I Help?

      The kitchen gets a real workout on Wednesday Evenings September - May of each year. Trevor Mullings our talented chef does a great job preparing wonderful meals, but we need volunteers to help Trevor prep, to serve the food, and with clean up (busing tables & loading and running the dishwasher) etc. Any training needed will be provided. The OSLC kitchen is a fully operational industrial kitchen. The equipment in our kitchen is as follows:


  • 2 Southbend convection ovens
  • A six burner gas stove
  • 2 ovens- one under the gas stove and one under a full-size grill
  • A 12 foot prep area with sink
  • A 2 sink prep table with insinkerator and sprayer
  • A dishwasher-Champion single-tray unit with insinkerator
  • A large 3 sink wash table
  • One 6 ft by 2 ft Crescor hot hold
  • Pantry
  • A double refrigerator and single freezer, both manufactured by True

The kitchen has a serving area that opens up into a dining area and a busing window for easy access to the dishwasher. The pantry includes silverware and 3 chafers. Paper products are ordered by the church on a regular basis.
