WELCOME!

On the third Saturday of each month some members of Our Savior go to the Mariner Nursing Home, Van Dusen Rd., Laurel (across from the hospital) to assist the residents who want to play BINGO.

This is an important ministry to our community. Many of the people in the nursing home have limited physical mobility, but with help they can still enjoy participating in this activity. Volunteers can be the eyes or ears for those who no longer see or hear well.

The staff tells us that it not only gives the people a chance to socialize but it’s good for their eye-hand co-ordination as well. Many of them really look forward to this activity and enjoy winning the small prizes we bring. We have had some very dedicated volunteers over the years, but they need additional support.

You can volunteer to go on the third Saturday of every second month. This means you are committing to six times a year.

• The time is only one hour from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
